Terms of Service

Welcome to TicketLane (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Overview of Our Services

The Platform enables event organisers ("Organisers") to create, promote, and manage events, and enables customers ("Buyers") to browse and purchase tickets or registrations. The Platform may facilitate payment collection and payout processing on behalf of Organisers. The contract for attendance at an event is primarily between the Buyer and the Organiser.

2. Definitions

  • "Platform": The TicketLane website, mobile application, and related services.
  • "Organiser": Any person or entity creating, publishing, or managing events via the Platform.
  • "Buyer": Any person or entity purchasing tickets or registrations via the Platform.
  • "Event": Any activity or occurrence listed by an Organiser.
  • "Ticket": A digital or physical proof of access to an Event issued through the Platform.
  • "Fees": Any fees displayed at checkout and/or otherwise communicated by the Platform (including booking fees, platform fees, and any applicable pass-through payment processing costs where described).
  • "Content": Any text, images, logos, videos, data, or other materials uploaded or displayed on the Platform.

3. Acceptance, Eligibility, and Capacity

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent/guardian where required by law.
  • If you use the Platform on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
  • You agree to our Privacy Policy.

4. User Accounts and Security

  • You may need an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use or security breach.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to accounts to protect the Platform, Buyers, Organisers, payment partners, or the public, including where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, or security risks.

5. Tickets, Purchases, and Refunds (Buyers)

  • Event Responsibility: The Organiser is responsible for the Event, including content, accuracy, safety, capacity, legality, and fulfilment. The Platform does not guarantee the quality, legality, or occurrence of any Event.
  • Finality of Sales: Ticket purchases are generally final unless an Organiser’s stated policy or applicable law requires otherwise.
  • Refunds: Where refunds are permitted or required, refunds may exclude Fees to the extent permitted by law and as disclosed at checkout and/or in the Organiser’s refund policy.
  • Disputes: Buyer disputes about Events should be directed to the Organiser first. The Platform may, but is not obliged to, assist with communications or processing where available.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

6. Organiser Terms and Organiser Event Ticketing Agreement

If you use the Platform as an Organiser, additional terms apply. In particular, Organisers are also bound by the Organiser Event Ticketing Agreement, which sets out detailed obligations relating to ticket issuance, payment facilitation, payouts, fees, refunds, compliance requirements, prohibited activity, and enforcement measures.

The Organiser Event Ticketing Agreement is provided during Organiser sign-up and remains available through the Organiser dashboard. By acting as an Organiser, you agree to comply with it in addition to these Terms.

  • Compliance: Organisers are solely responsible for obtaining permits, licences, insurance, and complying with all applicable laws (including tax/VAT obligations) for their Events.
  • Payment Facilitation and Payouts: Where the Platform facilitates payment collection, funds may be held, delayed, withheld, or reserved as needed for fraud prevention, chargebacks, refunds, regulatory concerns, or risk management.
  • Accuracy and Conduct: Organisers must provide accurate Event information and must not mislead Buyers.

7. Fees and Payment Processing

Applicable Fees will be displayed at checkout (for Buyers) and/or communicated via the Platform or Organiser dashboard (for Organisers). Fees are generally non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.

The Platform may use third-party payment processors. You authorise the Platform and its payment partners to process payments and, where applicable, to issue refunds, reversals, chargeback responses, or adjustments in accordance with these Terms, the Organiser’s instructions/policies, and applicable law.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to, and not to assist others to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information, including about Events, tickets, identity, or payment details.
  • Resell, transfer, or distribute tickets in violation of applicable law, the Organiser’s policies, or Platform rules.
  • Bypass, disable, interfere with, or attempt to compromise Platform security, integrity, or performance (including scraping, automated abuse, or circumvention of controls).
  • Use the Platform for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activities.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights or upload content you do not have the right to use.

9. Content, Intellectual Property, and Licence

The Platform and its underlying technology, trademarks, and branding are owned by or licensed to the Platform and are protected by applicable laws.

If you upload or submit Content, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, use, reproduce, display, and distribute such Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Platform and to provide the services. You represent that you have the necessary rights to grant this licence.

We may remove or restrict Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate, at our discretion.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform (including accounts, listings, ticketing functionality, and/or payouts) immediately where:

  • You breach these Terms or applicable law;
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity is suspected or detected;
  • We reasonably determine there is legal, regulatory, financial, reputational, or security risk; or
  • It is necessary to protect Buyers, Organisers, payment partners, or the integrity of the Platform.

Termination does not affect accrued rights and obligations, including payment obligations, chargebacks, refunds, and any provisions that by their nature should survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.

We do not warrant that Events will occur as described or at all, or that access will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the Platform or any Event.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform, its operator, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your Content; (c) your Event(s) (if you are an Organiser); or (d) your misuse of the Platform.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page and will apply from the effective date indicated. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights/obligations without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
